Dont let it throw ya !!!
Was talking to OWL yesterday and he mentioned brake caliper problems on the 05 where they lock on ! Might be a good man to pm and see if it was 04 as well but at 40 clicks it has prolly been fixed or not an issue !
The rear shock aint the best on them and fuck out easy (so i hear, mine is fine at 12 clicks 06 model) so a check to see it aint cranked down on the preload might be a clue (cant be an expert here as i aint)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Hey Bill! That issue is with the early 1050's and it's the pistons that jam up. Brakes work, but are spongy as hell and need piston replacement or cleaning every few thousand k's. The 04 should be fine!

Ummm, I know these bikes are awesome and really comfortable to commute on, but do you really want to spend the coin on these just for a commuter?? Just a thought.

I've had the 02-04 and had nil probs with her great bike. I have the 1050 now and in all honesty there is very little difference in power, maybe a bit more in the midrange and a we bit up top but not enough to really say Sheeeet!!! A lot of people have had probs with the 1050's brakes, mine have been fantastic and still are.
