The best burgers are definitely home made jobbies.

Get very fresh buns from a quality baker.
Nice venison patties from a good butcher.
We use a lot of salad from our own garden.
Nice sauces (we use a lot of organic sauces).
Any cheese we get from local cheese manufacturers.

Fucks over any other burger around.

I also cook a muscle Pattie burger thats so awesome that I cannot post the recipe in case it brakes the Internet - yes - its that fucken good.

I used to <3 Burger Wis back in the day, but last time I went to one (Brooklyn, Wellington) I was _seriously_ underwhelmed, the service was shit, and unfortunatly so was the food.

I suspect that it's like many other places thou, wrong store wrong day , whereas others have a much better experience. Certainly I havnt had any problems with the Burger Fuel up here, good food, good service.. Mmmm I want a bastard now!

Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

'Chester the Chicken' at Otorohanga. Hole in the wall place that looks much worse than it is. We got put on to them by vege friends, they said the vege burger was the best... I wouldn't know.

I really rate their top-of-the-line burger, the one with everything. Apart from the usual fare, it has sauteed mushrooms, stands taller than it is wide, and you can't squash it any. Never had a bad one from there.
    Cheers,
    Colin

The bacon backfire from Burger Fuel is bloody good. Better than Burger Wisconsin. I miss Burger Fuel. Don't have it down here so have to settle for Burger Wisconsin. Otherwise, I have to agree that home made burgers are sweeeet

Burger Fuel - Brie Injection of course with Kumara fries with extra aioli and a Chocolate Malt milkshake!

The only other way is the home made way. HAS to have egg pineapple and beetroot as bare essentials!!
    Method of choice:
Cut fresh buns in half and place in grill until golden brown, then butter. Add tomato sauce (WATTIES ONLY) and horseradish sauce. Lovingly place thick slices of cheese on the sauces. Place your deliciously tender and juicy meat of choice on top - to melt the cheese. A tantalising and sweet Pineapple ring is then delicately placed on the meat of choice to slightly warm. A perfectly runny fried egg is added next, with slices of beetroot and tomato also. A very light sprinkle of red onion, and salt and pepper to taste, finally place the toasted bun atop this divine masterpiece!
No body move... I dropped my brain
