I great night for a ride. I trust everybody got home safely?

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
Loved it awesome night. But it depends on what you mean by safely? I got home quickly and covered with a record number of bugs!Go the banana.
Long time no see too! Hey was the local mensa candidate blind or stupid or both? I wouldn't take you on alone let alone with a big bunch of... well us behind you. Some people are such brain surgeons.
Exert your talents, and distinguish yourself, and don't think of retiring from the world, until the world will be sorry that you retire. -Samuel Johnson
Awsome ride back! magic even!
Hope ya's all had a great safe ride too!
cheers all![]()
Well I got home safe and sound despite a massive head shake trying to avoid what looked like at the very last second a full can of something lying in the way. Can't figure out whether the subsequent expletives were because I almost shat my self, smacked my knee against the tank, or they were for the fwit who left it there.
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
I got back safely too... I didn't see any calamaties at the side of the road (breakdowns or otherwise).
Normally I don't see any police, but this time there were 2 of them. One about 1km past the silverstream turnoff heading south and another around the corner from my house. Luckily the community radar detector system was working (ie. cager flashing lights) as I had crept to 115kph pas silverstream... the old vtr headlight doesn't do good job picking up police car reflector glare. Of course being on a small bike with black gear, meant my F-117 stealth technology would have evaded detection.
Out of interest... do you prefer the ride over the 'takas from upper hutt to featherston or the return? For some reason, I find the return ride "easier"...

Thanks heaps for the ride Des, Im sure it was far more effective at getting me to buy something else than people asking me for the past year when Im going to upgrade
Dave, I prefer the ride back to wellington too.
Was a grate ride... my work mate Alisdair (on the FLAME Hyosung 650) also enjoyed the ride and said he will join us every second Wednesday.
yeah thought you were a little close as i let you pass me on that corner...
I prefer the ride back but mostly the ride back up to the top... not so much the ride up to the top on the way there. fear of going off the edge i guess... cause i go all out on the way back up to the top... quallman1234 was the only one who chased me down and passed me.
Big poos and wees I couldnt make it, I was in the middle of breaking up a huge fight when i got the txt from Sels and Flame (Bloody Kids) Couldnt bring myself to leave the grumps with my mum to go for a ride. But I am clearing my calender for next wednesday night (even if you guys dont come over this way again)![]()
Yep, it was a good one last night - the noise of 40 bikes taking off from the various sets of lights on the way up to the hill was freaky-good. It was good to catch up with Bullet and bullitt as well as the other usual suspects. Thanks Guy for guiding the blat round the lake... til next week... DJ

Sweet as, You looked nice and smooth =). Although i don't agree with putting your foot down unless really pushing it.
Good shit.
Going back is feels a little bit easier imo, but theres some tight sections you have to watch out for, where you don't going the other way. I love the ride UP either side. Down's not too bad, but going back towards upper hutt can be a bit dangerous whilst braking. (Easy to outbrake yourself no matter your skill level).
