The things you miss out on when you don't go on KB for a few weeks. Thanks for the call Shrek and the Princess and I are very glad to hear you're OK. As has been said throughout this thread bikes can be fixed or replaced, we are a bit different and even though sometimes we can be fixed we often carry the wounds for life.
It does open up the exciting new world of buying a replacement bike and gear though - so thats not all bad eh - and that machine you totalled has been a bit of a dog in the time you've had it so a fresh start might not be a bad thing

As for this other discussion - depends what kind of parties you like to go to.
The leather and chain parties can last for a very long time you know - especially if you have some handy devices keeping you constantly slippery.
On the other hand those shaft parties..... well, if you're doing it properly you have to get stripped off regularly and get your splines greased, more regularly if you like the rough stuff - and we know how much you like that aye big boy!!

well Mrs Shrek likes the shaft parties so much so she has put a bike on the watch list for me while I was at wrk
I've had an offer of a 05 Tiger but H/O said no, me thinks she not into the leather & chain's

    diesel or tar weep???

The roads down here have a lot of places where the tar weeps badly in the really hot weather - its bloody treacherous when a light shower hits it. Could the slippery stuff you hit have been that??

Princess Fi says Mrs Shrek might look good in leather and chains
As for me I couldn't possibly imagine such a thing

Just replaced one chain set (under $400:00) and part of that was to change the gearing. John.
Hey old fella... try opening the throtle and pumping out more than 40Hp you will be amazed how the beast goes, but you will wear the chain out faster... ohh and it might help the bike falling over on take off hehehe
    cheers DD

No body else ever seems "accountable" for all the shit on our roads, except the motorcyclist having to pay more ACC costs! John.
