Funny you should say this bit coz I notice you live in Nelson. When we left Auckland we looked at Nelson and Invercargill as options. Took into account availability of jobs, average salary and the cost of a decent house. when I was appalled at what you got or your buck in Nelson coupled with such low wages I was told it was called something like "Sunshine Wages". What utter arrogance from the local employers so I decided emphatically on a move to Invercargill.

I say this here coz if you had lived in Invercargill you would probably have got a geat house first time around!
In space, no one can smell your fart.

I've put a little serious thought into moving down to Invercargill myself (although it would mean leaving everyone up here). However, I've also had soem thoughts about jobs, and not too sure if there would be anything available for a junior vet nurse (me) or a job for Indy.

dairy is massive down there, they are better off with the slightly shorter growing season with plenty of water to make use of it. you would find work, just probebly not small animals....

true, I'm more of a small animal person. I've had pretty much zero experience with large animals, so I doubt they'd hire me over other more capable people lol.

Perfect, You would expand your experience and capabilities ten fold.

Making a move is all about leaving your comfort zone and discovering new opportunities.

yes, i know I could do that, but to be honest I'm a bit scared of large animals, having not been around them much at all and I tend to panick and so they tend to sense that and all hell breaks loose.

And further more the boss was 'with' me (walking along side or keeping an eye on me) for my first 5 hours of my working with the new concept. This ment that if i was so much as 1% unsure about somthing i could pull the emergancy stop and the boss would come over and see what was up.
I only need to do it once and that was becuase the temp gauge was getting a bit high for my liking, that was it.
