We'll be in the same race in the "king of the streets' race mate but not sure my morning of learning the circuit will get me anywhere near the sharp end of the field.

This year is going to be a learn and enjoy the experience race.

Now just need to decide about Manfield and the Nationals......
The older i get the faster i used to be.......

Spoke to someone who's on the committee this afternoon and they said the two events are not linked anymore but that they could be again in the future.

Its my 1st too mate, never even been there, so I'll be wobbling around myself hahaa.

Isn't the King of the Streets race an invitational race? I assumed it was like the Robert Memorial at Wanga's

Yep it sure is invitational so I guess we need to get ourselves in gear early if we want to be in it.

It will be my first time around there as well, good to see we gets some extra laps!

They are using transponders this year so id say they will be using times for grid positions...

Wangas is a piece of cake compared to Paeroa.
Imagine riding a track soo intense you are yelling at the top of your voice the whole way around cause its soo much fun/scary as shit!
    Great times had by all

The King of the streets race is for the fastest 30 riders on the day. So if you have entered for that class you have paid too much.

Its a hard track to set up suspension for as there are soo many changes and bumps. The back straight and hairpin must be the most challenging bit of racetrack ive ever ridden on.

But the main straight is huge amounts of fun!
All will make sense once you ride there.

    See you there.

First ever street/road race in 13 years of racing.
    13 is a lucky number

I will be spectating and wandering enviously around the pits, no class for the Hornet there
    I'll cheer you on

Thats funny martin i was thinking the exact opposite. Paeroa is very intense because of the speed but i found it and easy track to learn, you just gotta ride hard, and not as demanding on the suspension as Wanganui (bottoming out the front every lap!). Plus Wanganui is hugely pyshical on a 600.

Brian with your experience i think you will pick it up within a few laps. And the entry to turn 1 is so wide you should be able to outbrake 3/4 of the field off the line!
My quess is you'll qualify about 10th for king of the streets
Have fun over the back straight jumps!!
