Went out for a nice short ride yesterday with Topo, around 135km in the hills of Nelson. Bloody hot and dry, but good fun.
Went thru the forestry roads up Sharlands, Teal Saddle thru to top of Whangamoas, then Mt Duppa and the grand finale was out to Hori Bay which is normally closed due to logging ops. Wicked views from the top up there, sorry no pics this time.
Topo's "loaner" SL230 performed well in his hands, it gobbled up the terrain easily. Plenty of dust, and bees. Got 2 in my helmet at different times, but no stings. Sweet!
Anybody else heading to Golden Bay this w/end ?
big fire in our valley tonite. hopefully the wind stays the direction it is or I'll be camping out somewhere. I think after this fire a lot of forests will be closed.
If it did turn to crap should I leave my bike or take it? hmmm interesting decision
ps hey Jatz did you notice I've got 30 more posts than you![]()
