    Do you good.

The headrush is awesome though eh. I love a durry (loose menthol tobacco, not horrid chemical-tasting tailormade things) when I'm on the piss. But I do that maybe once every two or three weeks. Can't imagine putting that shit in my mouth when I'm sober.

Maybe you should have the same rule, gotta be pissed before you smoke. Natural limiting mechanism.

Good lord. I'm many things, but limp of dick is not usually one of them.

Anyway, shush, sweetie, you'll get people over in the 'why men cheat' thread gossiping.

Men cheat because women let power corrupt them and think they own the man, we don't want to be owned we just want to get our bits wet.

You mentally and physically want to give up.
Its all in your mind, dont let your mind bet you.

I gave up the day my first daughter was born, put the half packet od smokes on top of the fridge and thats where they stayed for two weeks. Then I threw them out.

I started again six years later, but thats another story.

    Going off tv ad's...

"well done you've taken the first step" etc aint going to work for me... i don't need praise i just need to stop slowly killing myself.

I started smoking again after 3 years off in december...

5-6 a day.... until last week...

I have gone to dunhill blue from marlboro red...

The udnhill goes down alot smoother and i find myself smoking like a chimney...

i tried going back to marlboro red to fix this, but it feels painful to inhale them compared to the dunhill which i dont feel i just get the relaxation from it...

I am now upto 10-12 a day.... and im fighting myself to hold back.... i could easily put away a pack a day right now.

Anybody got any advice for quitting, or a way to cut back to 5 or less a day?

    Cheers guys: Mark.
    Your flipping kidding me right????

I smoked for 9 years then when I quit you started!!! Against all my advice... ...now you want to quit?

Forget about all the patches and ringing quitline etc - it is all a load of rubbish and is actually designed to KEEP YOU SMOKING. Dont believe me? PM me and i'll tell you all about it.

Mark - tell me why you want to quit. Then I will tell you HOW TO STOP (not quit) without it costing you any money, or using any patches/gum etc etc.

No, I really have lost alot of respect for you of late. You aint cool, I dont find you funny.

Mark, if you want to give up smoking ring quitline. By starting these threads you open yourself up to ridicule from people who think that the only way they can be cool is to try and be funny on KB...

I smoke, I drink lots BUT excercise for 1 hour, 6 day's a week. I get asthma and I have had some very serious helath issues. I get judged all the time but I dont care. If I want to do something then I will. You can do it you want to.

mark also in response to your dilema with your flatmates smoking, dude, I was a Navy chef when I quit, I bullshit you not - 9 out of 10 smoke (or did then) every break we had, smoke time, I had that to contend with when I quit, and fucking cunts that would say "oh we are having a smoke break, can you finish off the......) and a younger rank and senior worker would go and have a smoke, so I missed breaks as a result, almost a punishement really, yet I quit, and you know it was'nt hard....I just thought about how much better I felt and how bad ciggies made me feel (ok I was in the Navy I knew what real training is /not riding a bloody bike....)

That's a shame. Is it because I'm mean to people who are nice to you?

Life's not all flowers and butterflies, y'know. Sometimes people can be nice in some respects, but still need a good kicking in others.

It's a shame when that results in other folk having low opinions, but what must be done must be done.
