You need to wear a decent helmet

Open face with a visor does the trick.

After the last effort, the full knobbies that I got for the CCA ride will be going back on. Might be a bit interesting coming back over the 'tukas, but.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

I reckon the first half of day 1 thru Orongorongo and Ocean Beach is looking like its gonna be real fun - after all this rain we could meet some interesting stream/river/gully crossings with all the water running out from the coastal hills! If that gully in the middle of the huge rock slide on Orongorongo is running wet it should be real interesting!

    Bring on the ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!
    Cheers, Dave

If this ride is a race then I'm already last. I struggle to keep things together when it's dry, let alone with all this rain up here.
Looking forward to the shindig tonight & trying to follow you guys over the next two days. Haven't booked a ferry home yet......

at least 18 people turned up
    weather looks good
klr blew exhaust seal head to pipe and started sounding horrible - couldn't fix it so came home to get DT - should hoopefully meet the others for dinner

Bart's oil all dumped itself out his countershaft seal - ended up pushing last couple of km back to Wainuiomata

so 2 down before we even got off the seal

    such is life
