Cheers Tim, but to be fair I was only 1st equal

as there was a Suzuki rocketship piloted by track racer

Dennis Cullen of Chch beside me for the whole trip, so I had a good coach on the twisties
......and it's not so much speed, but quick and infrequent fuel stops, a 23 litre tank being an advantage on such rides.....
Sadly the guy that was doing the trip with me from Timaru lost his lisence for doing 150 around the bottom of Lake Pukaki on Saturday morning. The 6 officers

based at Omarama for the weekend ( inclluding 3x mufti's ) didn't help things either.....
The IRC GP110 rear tire performed fantastic

, using the whole tread width on roads like Queen Charlotte drive between Picton and Havelock, and the only issue I had all weekend reliability wise was a blown indicator fuse ( I guess Kawasaki didn't expect a KLR to be passing much )
A great weekend, and thankfully, good weather for the whole trip.....
