    Wet Paeroa?

I was at a local bike shop and they seemed to think that if it was raining they would flag it for safety reasons?
    Is this true?

Check out the "slicks for Paeroa" thread.
Yeah, it's true. Too dangerous if it's wet - it's a road race, meaning there's a ped-x, white lines etc.
It's going to be fine by Sunday, it's a tradition Don't forget the sunscreen when you head there.

Gee , I wonder how road riders survive when it rains. If they cancel it when it's wet, by definition it's not a road race.

Where is this 'definition' you speak of?

Are you racing on Sunday, or just ejaculating posts on the interweb? Oh wait, over, 10,000 post counts......

That's only cos they can't fly the rescue helicopter over the mountain - not cos the riders can't see

Can you imagine the carnage that would be caused should one of the riders wot only comes out of the woodwork once a year at Paeroa decide to try wets for the first time?

Showers over night, damp track for practise. Dry, mainly fine, cloudy day, odd risk of a shower, with warm temps and brisk breezes from time to time. UV index high, so remember your sunblock.
