Hoping to be there, if the rain isn't falling. Otherwise I'll PM you about catching up on Sunday afternoon - I'm working all day tomorrow and Sunday morning (yeah, tell me about it).

You'll be alright then, as I never had that luxury! I now have $2500 gear cover under my bike policy.

Ah cool and I may see you on the weekend. I'm still hoping Kerry is coming down on Sunday to visit you and have a fiddle with my suspension. Could be fun!

Damn straight - may as well not put it on. Not something I normally do but I'd been trying to get me earphones in properly before we left - have given up on that idea now and will stick to ear plugs & singing...

Ok what are these whisper kits you guys are going on about? I currently use dispossible foam plugs that cost about 50 cents and do the job well enough.

General advice here. If your strap is not secure, STOP, and make sure it is. Not preaching, just want to emphasise how important it is after seeing the state of my old one.
may get to test it a bit sooner than you think ...

and agree on the strap ... coming off Paekakareki hill after birthday ride and thought ... hmmm that feels loose .. fark me forgot to do up the helmet .. quick stop on the side of the road fixed that ... :

I still use my custom plugs as well but it has cut out a lot of noise from around the bottom of the helmet.
