A brilliant tribute Nudez. I was lucky enough to have known Brett and was on that ride. It still seems strange when his smiling face isn't there on the Wed night rides. But I know that he will always be looking after Kari.

Thank you for sharing the Vid (and Brett) with us Kari.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Truly impressive to watch, seeing the effect Brett(and you)had on people is a tribute not morbid fascination. Can't be helped I suppose, but why not celebrate the life, not the death aspect, easy said than done but is true.

What a great way to share a life with others,
Well done nudes that video was cool, so much respect to grubb was showen by the turn out,
What saddens me is this "3months get over comments" that seam to be floating around......Grief is something we all deal with different, Nasty honey you take along as you need and say whatever you feel cuz thats the best way to help your soul,

Small minded people say dumb shit like that, If this small minded person/people have a problem then don't read or look at stuff like this,

My heart goes out to all the fellow KBers that have lost parents, kids, syblings and lovers, You are all strong people.

Kari, the question is often asked as to why someone had to die.
There is no real answer, but some of you folk who've lost someone close show a reason a person had to die.
Welshwizard, Guzzi-widow and yourself are among them.
I remember being really taken aback at your post to say Grub had died. I honestly thought/hoped it was a pisstake at the time.
I haven't seen any post about 3 months grieving, but everyone is different. A friend lost her brother 15 or so years ago, and every year, around the time of his death, we know she'll be a mess. It's better now she's got her baby, but she's not over it.
I still think of friends I lost years ago, but had they not died, I'd not have contact with them by this stage anyway.
Life goes on, yes, but that doesn't mean we need to forget.
Thanks for sharing your journey with the rest of us and wishing you all the best.

3 months in terms of getting over grief is nothing. a close friend was murdered over 4 years ago, and i still get upset thinking about her. the heartache of a death never goes away... it just gets easier to bear. personally, i think ill cry every time i watch that video. theres nothing wrong with that. given i rarely cry, being given the chance to do so is a good thing.

Yeah well, sometimes this message can be delivered in other ways though. I agree everyone deals with grief on their own special journey, it is our job to support them and each other through it, and not for some one to dictate when we should stop, or to even make comment about it really.

So true. Life does go on thank goodness. I doubt there are many my age here on this forum that have not had to deal with a close death. Some of us actually understand.
