    Anyone use Kenda tyres?

Looking for a cheap set of rubber for my cbr250 MC22

    sizes I Need are 110 70 17 and 140 60 17.

on Cycletreads site they have kendra tyres at less than $100 per tyre.

Defiantly the price range i can afford.

the rear tyre they can do is a 140/70/17 which i think will be fine on my rim?

    http://www.cycletreads.co.nz/content...s&entryPK=1527

Has anyone use them before? good or bad?

Finally buying gpr a10's every 5000km has taken its toll
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Now this is utterly irrelevant, but seeing as its you ...

Kenda have made tyres for mountain bikes for years. I would not touch them if they were free. Compounds are poor, technology not leading-edge, and also frankly they look lame.

Probably no relation to the R&D and compound development team for motorbike tyres, but there it is anyway.

To be frank (again - and don't call me Shirley) I'd trust cycle treads to give you a fair review of their capabilities. They have always been honnest in my experience with them, and do diss tyres they have little respect for, and usually give a fair review of tyres limitations etc.

They are more slippery than KY. I would rather run on the alloy rims.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

I have Kenda on my KLR650. I'll be replacing them with tyres soon. I'm not too sure but I think they're 'road protectors' rather than tyres.

Fucken' slippery in the wet! Wheel spin if I open the throttle suddenly in a straight line.

Not too bad in the dry - they drift well.

It's hard to think of a reason why you shouldn't go with the cheapest tyres you can find, honestly I think good tyres are overrated. It's not like your life depends on the things holding on to the road or anything.

I used to have a cheap Taiwanese tyre on the back of my GT250X7, it was great fun. In the wet I used to wait until I was dead straight then snap the throttle open, rolling along with the rear wheel spinning (I didn't even need to shift my weight forward) is pretty darned cool. Then I got a Metzler and I could pull the front up while the rear was on wet concrete (and why wouldn't you pull a wheelstand as you were coming into your driveway?). With the Metzler I no longer got to check that my heart could redline when riding in the wet, safety - pffft, who needs it!

Yeah, in conclusion - as long as you don't care about your safety then go ahead and buy the cheapest tyres you can find. If you do care about your safety then you should buy the best tyres you can get and save money elsewhere.
