What I like about the whole National Party, and JK in particular, is that he is ambitious for the whole country. He seems to believe in NZ's ability to grit our collective teeth and pick ourselves up by the bootstraps and come through this recession in a strong position.

I don't agree with everything they say, but on the whole, it's great. "This is what we campaigned on, this is what we have done"

I do think the tax cuts should be delayed (fuck, did I just say that??), but ironically, if they halt the tax cuts, Skyryder will be screaming about how we all got sucked in by the liars. Whereas, if they carry on, the lefties are screaming that they are unaffordable.

Personally, had I $50 million, I'd be looooooong goooooooone. Which I guess proves he's a better person than I.

NZ PM is just another title Key can put on his CV when he retires from politics and goes back, not as a money trader but into the boardrooms of global finance. See I am confused here just a tad. I read Oakie as saying you are not happy with the new government and wishing you stay that way for 3-6 years. He obviously is happy with the current government, he even wishes you no disrespect.
