She finally comes to the dark side!
But yeah, get that subframe off and tidy up the clocks, sort a 2nd mirror, and she will be super nom nom

paint it matte [have to have the accent on matte, makes it sexy] black, chop the baffles out and put some dents in it and you have a true street fighter haha

I *heart* Monsters, I'd feel like a fraud riding a pretend one. Much like how Hyo riders feel about actual bikes I suppose

Fairings are fixed, just not painted. just not sure I want them back on!

Tell him it was always like that -- it's what they're supposed to look like.

Also, you have a streetfighter in the true, genuine sense of the word.
Not one of those pansy bikes that come from the factory to imitate the streetfighter "look".
The origin of street fighters was from the UK, where people would crash their faired bikes, and not be able to afford to replace the fairing, and so would cut off the superfluous bits of fairing and fix it to work with just the necessary bits, with number 8 wire, blue tack, and chewing gum.
In other words, EXACTLY how your bike became a street fighter!
(Disclaimer: the above may well be absolute nonsense that I just made up on the spot...)

    Nice one ! ..

Glad to see you got her back on the road and that you were able to "undo" the claim ! .

Looks like a hell of a machine... ! a lot more unique now !, that's a positive way of looking at it !

How does it feel in terms of ride now ?

Cheers mate, the more I think about it the happier I am with how she looks sans fairing. Handling-wise, I'm still unhappy with the suspension (though the guys did a great job). It's much better than it was prior to the crash, but it's still pretty scary when the front end dips on downhill corners. I nearly lost her on Ridge road this arvo, after a corner revealed a vicious pothole right on the line I was taking Managed to swerve and avoid the pothole, but nearly lost the front end.

Rode like a nana the rest of the day, still need to regain my confidence...

Hey, it's no race ! ... just take it all at your own pace...

I can assure you if I'd had a bin, I'd be out there in a Michelin Man suit for protection (some may suggest I already do!)...

I personally think it's VERY healthy to have small things like avoiding a pot hole and having a bit of a wobble scare the crap out of you, just maintains that awareness between you and mortality !

Fucking oath! Every corner has a car that could potentially go over the centreline.
