    Angry THUNDER-CROSS today

Went to thunder-cross today, When we got there there was only one other car there for a good reason!, A farmer on a quad told us that the motorcross track was good but the jumps are dangerous {why would they even have a open mx track if the jumps were dangerous?} After that we got on our bikes went to the a&b track entrance. From there on it was so boggy my 85 kept staling becasue the clay that was mixed with grass got stuck in the sprocket housing, their was some other guys with us who aso found this a very challenging place{all of us a rather expirienced aswel}.....i mean the place was a death trap.....their was no signposting and you didnt know here you where going....

they would be in big trouble if OSH decided to rock up and check the place out.... im not trying to be a complainer i jsut dont want anyone else to waste $40 and potentualy get hurt.

whyd did you go when you knew it had been raining so much?
have you not read the threads about it that say it is HORRIBLE after lots of rain?
besides everyone shold experience it in the wet so they know how good it can be if they go in the dry
we may just go where no ones been

    have you broken another keyboard?

few things to know about thunder when its wet
1 its clay, its always gonna be clay, and its always gonna be slippery when wet
2 not to say its impossible, just know what your getting yourself into before going
3 let your tyres down, i found 8 psi in the front and 9psi in the rear a very effective combination and never had any major traction issues
4 don't ride alone, you'll want/need help to get out of bogs if you get stuck
5 don't ride blindly into things that look dodgy, most of the places that bog up really badly there is plenty of warning, stop and see where the path of least resistance is
6 how do i know this, this is where i learnt to ride, iv probably been there close to 50 times, and endured having to ride around in the wet

we may just go where no ones been

Yeah you can't complain that it was bad when its been raining. Like complaining that knives are sharp after you cut yourself.

Me and oldskool didn't have that many problems when we went in the wet, we had a blast and we aren't even that expereinced. Nothing like a bit of mud and water to have fun in.

Thanks to you anf flyingcr for the little blast at the end. Was good to have some quick people to try and keep up with. Hope we didn't hold you up to much....

We left you on the way home and shot up the outward bound track (something like that) was quite good. It comes out right by the big dipper. Then can home via that track you guys had just come back on before we all went out.
