    5 stars Nordie!

Feck there are some petty playground rules on this site.

The official word about the Laid Back Ride on Sunday is...
"Stick a knobby on the front and if it's dry it'll be sweet."

"If it's wet then I want to see video of the carnage."

I'm going to slap an old MX tyre on the front and leave the rear tyre alone.

Hmmm, DOT enduro knobblies and ride the bike there & back?

OR... non-DOT MX knobblies and chuck the bike on a trailer like last time.

Both sets are pretty worn. Hmmm, will see what the weather forecast is later in the week
    Cheers,
    Colin

I'm going non-DOT (that's what's on the tyre pile) and ride there...

Shane says my MT-21 front would be fine.

Just returned from a strop over the Whangamoa's and back. Faaaaaark does the high guard catch the wind!! It's been instantly noticeable since the change, but on this occasion I was approaching max lean into a 35er when a gust pretty much ripped the bars outta my hands Fortunately it widened a tight line with plenty of room to move.

There was a forestry gate open at Mount Pleasant Wines, had a wee tiki tour. Nothing of any real interest close to the SH, but the gate doesn't look bike-proof.
    Cheers,
    Colin

I've got a reasonable condition Shinko 540 front that's done a season on a TS400 and 2 seasons on an XR250 and it's only missing some very edge knobs we could slap on Gonzo...
