'scuse me mr Padmei. but I think you made an error with the title.
I just went and checked out wikipedia and I'm pretty sure it's "Halcyon"
    not Halycon
Can't have us ADV riders portrayed as neanderthals

bugger - where did you see me?!?
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

    Adventure riding as social phenomenon?

feeling trapped by health and safety? ................sick of meetings (which are longer and more moronic with every passing year)?.... fed up with rush hour traffic?... one more workplace evacuation drill and you will kill someone? .....

Have i got a deal for you.... freedom and space... come adventure riding !!!
