    Sun and shit

Whenever we ride south of here, we always get the dropping/low Sun on the way home. Coupled with a few bugs on the visor, add the sun into the mix and its reasonably hard work.

Yesterday, we stopped at the Dairy Flat BP for a feed and drink and smoke a talk. I went in search of some insulation tape (I wanted black ) I found blue, that will do nicely thanks. Put a strip of it accross the top of my visor and bingo...instant clearity, its amazing the difference it makes.

Saves tilting your head down to block out the sun.

I usually block out the sun...not sure how to bloke it out...doubt I could hold the weight of a bloke with a parasol on my head...

    Sorry Maha, couldn't resist that.

On a more serious note, I have the same problem in the mornings since I ride early - before work. This morning being a prime example. I might just try the tape idea - anything must be better than trying to scream along the road with one hand shading your eyes and no visibility anyway....I'll let you know how it works out...

Damn and I got all excited cos I thought it was another poo thread!

Isn't it amazing how many scratches miraculously appear on your visor when you have sun strike.

Good trick...thanks for sharing Mr Maha.....saves the "tilting head syndrome" which makes you look like your perving at your own boobies!

An easy fix and it does the job....tinted visors are ok but they dont block out the direct sun in your eyes.

I first tried the finger thing coming back from Paeroa, one finger along the top of the visor and it was so different...thats where the tape idea come from.

Been doing that for years - a simple thing, but very effective!
