Your far to nice for such a dork driver GB - and in RED - what was he, blind!
You should get your neck checked out for sure, make the most of those increased ACC levies.

Sorry to hear but relieved. After reading the heading I was expecting the worst! But...
    a) You weren't injured (much)
    b) The other party was 100% to blame so you can have a clear conscience

I got hit from behind a couple of years ago. My poor little bike was quite broken, as were my ribs (on the handlebars I think - not quite sure because I was unconscious at the time) and probably my tailbone. Also caused some damage to my eye from my head being flung forward so violently. And the bruising on my lower back was spectacular!

At that point I stopped using the word "accident" to refer to these events. People ask me if I have ever had an accident on the bike and I say "no, but I was hit by a car once."

That word accident makes it sound like it was just one of those unfortunate things, whereas it was actually the direct result of someone else not caring enough about fellow road-users, and not being fully responsible for their own behaviour.

Anyway, do get yourself and the bike properly checked out, and don't underestimate the damage to either until it's been properly assessed.

Oh, and welcome to the rear-end club. There are a few of us on here.

That is a good point, klingon. Hit by a car rather than accident- it is so true, so often, unfortunately.
