I hope when you get her back you give it to her full force in every hole and remind her why she should have never left you in the first place.

You've read Mills & Boon. I've seen them lying around but never been tempted to open the cover. This would be your feminine side would it? lol.

No, bought from them, since they would take a trade, but didn't trust them with the servicing. Bike lives at (just about literally for the last month) Triple X Motorcycles, the only other KTM dealer in Auckland. They rock!

I've ridden other stuff... my KTM is my one and only Boss even gave me a stern warning that the fleet is dwindling, so don't be silly on the Hornet

You have a gift Gremlin. You been hiding it well, till now.

I say you re-write Alice in wonderland or the Wizzard of Oz. It will sound much more intereting with the heroes riding a KTM every now and then...

    Well done

The relationship has been a short one in the grand scale of things... we only met in early October, but we hit it off straight away. Almost inseparable from the beginning, it felt so different to previous relationships and yet so perfect.

We tackled things together I had never done before, yet I usually found myself wondering why I had never done it before. She exposed me to a whole new world... and I loved it! I guess looking back, it all happened so fast, it couldn't keep on going forever, or at least, thats what the cynic in me says when reflecting on it all.

We hit a rough patch just over a month ago, and had a forced separation. Surprisingly, I was rather unemotional about it all, convinced it would all blow over, and we would be back together in a matter of weeks (if not days). Days have passed into weeks, weeks now into a month.

Last night, I hit a rough patch, missing her like crazy. I went through hundreds of pictures of us, on trips, getaways and other outings. Carefully looking at all her beautiful features, trying to remember what they were like in real life... the pictures never capture all the beauty, as much as you try.

I keep thinking I must be going insane, its hardly like me to get all emotional and reflect on the past... but then I think that it wasn't like any previous relationship I had had. It's often only when you no longer have it, that you realise what you have really lost.

After a little communication in the last week (nothing had been said for weeks), it looks like we might get back together in the next 1-2 weeks... I can barely contain myself, but keep thinking I need to take it easy with little steps.

The parts should be arriving from Austria this week, maybe the next, short time to put her back together, and the KTM 990 SM will be back in my hands and we'll be together again. Having averaged 1000km a week since I bought her, this last month has been very lonely...

Eobe has even been off on a school camp the first 3 days of this weeks, so I've only had my thoughts to keep me company... and this post has gone a long way to calming the voice within...
Shit a brick, if you feel like that over a KTM it's just as well you didn't upgrade to a Triumph!

Man would you be a mess now if you had!

Stay with the lowly KTM and you will get over them more easily. John.

    I hear your pain Gremlin.

My beloved & I have been separated now for 3 months.. & the longing to be entwined as one, is almost unbearable

Our love has been a long one, with many journeys shared in blissful rapture. The rough patches smoothed over with devotion & patience.

She has been within my grasp this whole time.. sitting naked exposed & vulnerable.. but I have been unable to help her.. overwhelmed by other constraints.. with the frustration of not being able to do something to help.. eating away at me like a disease.

She is my heart & soul.. my passion, my reason for being.. she fills me up like nothing else on earth.. & a part of me, deep in my core, has been slowly dying with our separation

The long dark tunnel we have been stuck in.. is finally showing us the light.. for my love undergoes surgery today.. as we speak.. now! I can hardly believe it.. The preliminary diagnoses showed that her injuries may not be a serious as we first thought.. I am elated.. but still treading lightly.. & anxious.. waiting for the phone call..

The thought of being able to join & be a whole again is surreal.. looking at our photos as we once were.. makes my heart skip.. knowing it may happen.. in the next couple of days

I await your return.. my beloved

Same here, I was thinking "oh no, not ANOTHER sad bloke telling us his personal problems, like we want to know?"

Very well written! Hope you and your loved one will be back together again soon!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Okay... let me just check this. So some of you have this sort of ... (small cough)... relationship with your bike and think it's ahhhhmmm... okay?!. Wasn't there a doco on 60 Minutes or something like that a while ago about car (bike) love.

WRT to your x-rated pic above - it's a GSXR1000 thing. You can only begin to understand when you're with one. It's a rollercoaster of a ride, a brutal bitch mistress who, while thrilling you, is literally sucking your money and your sanity. It's the coke addiction without the 12 step programme for wellness.
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.

Interesting. Any reason in particular? Bad experience in the past?

I will pass your comments onto the owner of a bike, that has sat with them since before christmas...
