    Lower than pond scum assholes..............

Ive been thinking/toying with an idea on like a dirt bike register thinggy that for a small fee you can register your bikes serial/chassis etc numbers on a data base and then when say you become a potential buyer you can check on this database for FREE to see if its stolen(as hopefully the owner would notify me) or not,Of course it will reguire BOTH parties to take the initiative to use it,I know id use it

    Thoughts?
Even on the old ones if you dont race serious and you wanna just go do the odd club day and smoke everyone on a big old 5hundy it great and if you get beaten you have a handful of excuses

    Excellent idea.

Not sure how you could make this profitable though. Unless you charged people to register, in which case it wouldn't work.

Yeah was thinking that the owner would pay cause it would help to track a bike that has been stolen as i would take there contact details too.Plus I know buyers would more than likely think what the hell and not use it so id have to make it free for them

IE they go look at bike take note of numbers etc then send it in to me and i do a check and if its does come up as stolen I can take the actions to notify those that need to to know police/legal owner etc

Small price to pay to stop these F*^KERS............Im not thinking a huge amount

Was thinking of hitting the dealers up to offer the service to them as i know alot of shops get done too, plus they could offer it to new bike buyers
Also im sure insurance companys wouldnt mind it

you would probably find if you got the dealers on board, then asked them to donate $5-10 a year each it would cover it

Make madel, engine and chassis number and owner (no addess shown though). Trouble is no control over it like with registration? Hard but give it a go. National Dirt bike register!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Can't argue with that. Medal of honour for anyone administering severe beating to any thief as well.

It is a good idea, go for it. You will have to look into the size that each engine/frame number is to make sure people enter in the whole thing. If you need a hand to bounce design ideas let me know, have created a few database type applications over the years.

Having something on here would be a good idea as well......

Sweet sounds good i was thinking of just using a big excel spreadsheet,And catorgorize each make/model etc
Not sure about the whole number value etc as that could be a huge headache maybe just make sure the person giving me the details gets it right

Ill carry on thinking about it for now

Maybe if some people can give me some details to help me start

IE Make,Model,Year,Chasis#,Engine#..........Maybe even a contact number or a made up one if you prefer

    PM me if you like

Think you will find that most manufacturer's have a certain length frame or engine number that they use, you get some sample data and I will knock up a database for you....
