its a learning curve.... shit drivers and shit bikers... its the same as shit people ... including pedestrians ... we all do shit things... I give way to bikes & fast cars ... if they look safe.. if they are behaving like right w...kers... I let them know... but 99% of bikers that pass me bike or car... I give a good vibes too..

So if the roles were reversed, do any of us here think that guy would have moved his car so the bike could get in after him??

    Not f***ing likely!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you were in the car and not on the bike would he have tried to reach over your car??

    Again. Not f***ing likely!!!!

Why the hell should it make a difference what vehicle you're in?? You still don't touch another persons vehicle.

I would have told him where to go as well!!!

Never the less, he's not wrong you know. Whether he's a bloody hipocrite is impossible to tell unless we can prove he wouldn't do the same if the situation was reversed.

Yes, most people don't bother moving their vehicles forward when it's busy on the forecourt, but that's no excuse for being an inconsiderate arsehole. It's gotta start somewhere.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

It's just as easy for a car to move after filling up as a bike so fuck em.

The asshole should not be touching your bike... end of story...

as for moving the bike for an asshole they can get fucked... you are a customer of the garage buying a product which needs to be payed for... many garages do not release the pump until the previous lot is payed for anyway...

I bet he would not move the car for you so stick to your guns...

Its funny because it may only take a few minutes to go in and pay then get on your bike and go.... in the overall scheme of things what's a few minutes???
you could be held up more at a set of lights on your journey... or a set of road works etc etc... to many get wound up over time... funny thing is time carries on as does life but to many get stressed by so called lack of it.... but its the same for all, even as you get older it seems to go quicker

Exactly...hate it when cars or bikes hold up a pump.
In saying that if some prick did decide to be fucking around with my bike then I might get a wee bit grumpy

I have never seen someone move their car to let the next person at the pump....ever....so why, all of a sudden, do bikes need to do this? WTF?

I suspect it was more to do with the attitude the car driver had towards bikes/bikers than anything else.

    What he said.

Ngaruawahia BP's a prime example. Given the volume of traffic that uses it, I never fill up there and leave the bike at the pump; I fill up, ride over to a parking spot and then go in and pay.

Leaving your vehicle at the pump while you go fuck about in the shop when there's big queues is inconsiderate. And if some poor bastard got grumpy about being made to wait, I think I'd try to be understanding. He was probably having a difficult day.

So, congratulations on acting like an ape, Fly_boy. How about next time you take an approach other than mindless aggression? A shrug and a simple apology for the inconvenience would have cost you nothing.

Really? I've seen heaps of people move their cars after filling when they plan to shop around or grab a coffee etc.

I've also had many people move forward a metre or so after filling just so I could fit in behind them on the bike. I assume it's because they've seen me waiting and were being nice.

But yeah the majority of people are self centered wankers when it comes to road etiquette and that fully extends to filling up with petrol. I don't feel obligated to move unless I'm planning to fuck around having a drink or something that will take ages unless it's mega busy.

I don't do it purely on the principal that i have had a prick start filling his car before i have paid for my gas. So i run out telling the fucker to put the handle back so i can pay the damn bill.
