Well we were camped next to the fuckwits who kept everyone up on the sat night, euthanasia would be too good for them!
Funny that they complained about the noise in the morning when we helped tow start the chaps bike next to us after he drowned it the day before and sat on the side of the track for a few hours before riding someones elses bike out.
Thats what I liked about the event, those that were willing to help. We stopped and helped drag bikes out of bogs, pick kids out of the tussock, and let people clear their bikes off the trails.
How come some people are so fuckin selfish they can't even wait for a fallen rider?
At one point I was down and one guy was riding over my bike to get past? I fuckin ripped into him and he just looked confused
I am very sore today!
Trails were awesome! The little expert side trail was good fun on the way out to dam buster! And sniper was a real workout! The ruts coming up some of the hills kept biting me, hard sometimes, but the only injuries I have are the blisters on the hands.
Def going back next year! Best 20 bucks I ever spent........
Was funny, sitting at the bottom of a hill climb as one of us three picked a kid up and some prat comes flying by both of them nearly clipping them as he lost control on the same rut as the kid, mention karma to my mate.
And who do we find lying on his arse not a few hundred metres further along? We may of just ridden past that fellow.
These rides are for everyone fast or slow, sure common courtesy need apply but sometimes you have to pop small gaps at full throttle cause another rider is snaking all over a narow track and blocking the way.
But yeah, was a good ride, one of the better trails iv done in a while, still cant get over the size of the place...land for africa!

Good job waking up those noisy bastards with the tow start first thing
I was tempted to test out the rev limiter by their tent first thing in the morning.... just to make sure it still worked you know?... Not sure where exactly they were though, the music was so loud it seemed to come from everywhere.
Speaking of lending a hand... Punch was stuck on a hill for about 20mins and no one helped her out until she had walked her bike back down again by which time no help is actually needed. Obviously it can be a bit of a bastard stopping mid hill as getting going again can be a pain, but for most good riders this isn't a problem.... I ended up having to back track about 1km off to the side of the track to find out what was going on. Literally tussock busting, it was actually pretty funBefore I decided to back track I was waiting just off the trail. The trail was wide enough to drive a tank through but there was still the odd moron that caned past me ridiculously close. Not sure exactly what they were trying to prove.
more pics, one of the lads taking the photos, i had no pockets
my biggest gripe of the weekend is quads. fucken quads.
at ne point of the sniper alley shortly after the long twisty downhill tight section there was a quad half way up a hill, he had fucked it up, tried again, flipped it over, and then him and his mate were just standing there, while it was blocking the whole track, just looking at it. meanwhile theres bikes queing up for miles behind them. eventually he rode it back down (the way it was facing while they were just stainding there)
then theres all the other times the quads were stuck and in the way
and the quad i met coming over a blind rise the wrong way on a fast section of track...
then theres the quads in the no quads section stuck
there is however a proper place for quads. and i know exactly where it is....
on a farm. farming.
I couldn't count how many people went past me there, took forever to get the bike back down cause I kept getting people carving up next to me showering me in roost...Did get a bit of a chuckle if said people got stuck where I did. They got going part way up the hill tho, I needed to get back down to get some more momentum where the ground was a bit more packed down. The person that did offer me help at the bottom was a kid of about 13, very sweet of him, I was grateful although I don't know how well I showed it, had gotten myself into a bit of a state by that time
On the upside there were lots of really nice people out there lending a hand, including some nice fellas who held onto my bike for me when I was on a funny angle and couldn't reach my leg over to get back onthanks nice people!
Very heartwarming stuff indeed...
