Don't judge a book by its cover

Out for an evening ride earlier this week, decide to stop along the Surf Highway for a ciggy and a look at the sea. Been there a few minutes and up the road comes a mazda rotary. We've all seen them, 15 year old driver and passengers with caps on backwards, dustbin for an exhaust and bass setting off seismic alarms, Said mazda slams the brakes on as he goes past, hacks a u-turn and heads back towards me - Figuring I've got a problem - empty road, no houses nearby - I'm getting ready to get the hell out of there and the driver yells out 'you OK cuzz?' - 'Yeah, why' - 'thought you might have broken down, cellphones shit out here, would have gone up the road a bit to ring for some help for you - have a good ride bro'. And they're gone. I doubt they'll read this, but thanks for stopping and checking guys.

All the boy racers of my acquaintance are really good-hearted kids, a few bad apples give the whole bunch a bad name, it's sad..
Great that you posted this.. it's good that they get some positive PR for a change..

Yeah , fuken u-turners....they're dangerous alright.

Thanks for the advice. We'd better not judge the book by its cover for sure. Even though they may look friendly and helpful, they're just a danger waiting to explode. Youngsters of today....sigh.....

Half of the reason young people have a bad attitude, is because some asshole adult bashed them over at some stage, and they feel hurt and angry because of it. Kids who grow up unacosted turn into adults with no understanding of being a jerk, and no inclination toward it themselves.

Good on em - am finding heaps of good sorts coming through these days, their looks really don't seem to fit their attitudes - can be a mixed message, but a good one, eh.
    Nice to know.
