Here's a challenge for all you experts!

    Because I'm fucking good.

Who here can beat approx 30km's per hour and around five metres on an XR1200 Harley with the steering still locked???

Didn't think so. Fucking hurt too. Felt like I'd been slam dunked by a 255kg Sumo. If only I had footage...would've been youtube gold material. Should've seen the look on the pedestrians face as he walked past my apartment gate and saw it happen.

Hard left turn outta my apartment garage...quickly now as the gate is closing...sweet as. Now just strighten this puppy up and whoa! Highside city!

    As you were.

    Pete

No pics sorry mate! It was one I'd just traded and had pre sold. Thought I'd broken my left thumb and right wrist...wasn't looking forward to a cast on each arm. Bet my flatties would've wanted to help me wipe my bum either.

Counter-steering doesn't work so well at low speeds.

I have about 30 m vertically upright, ....travelling sideways before giving up and laying down. Both feet were on the ground keeping it the pld honda 750precariously balanced on a very slippery surface ..real gentle like...Does that compare?

Now the important question. Is there any bike damage or did you sacrificed life and limb to prevent it?

Steering locks in the ignition are a great invention. Been around since at least 1976.

My boss has just graduated from a GN250 to a big bright shiny Vulcan cruiser. For reasons he never explained to me he chains the rear wheel to a post at night. Running late he got up enough speed to go over the handlebars when the chain got to full length...fortunately no physical injuries but unfortunately no pictures. He did express some concern he loosened the spokes...

Not a bad effort. Years ago a mate of mine fired up his PE250 he'd rebuilt. Revved the fuck out of it and dumped the clutch. Went straight over the bars as the bike shot backwards! 2 strokes tend to do that when the motor is running backwards! Was one of THE funniest things I've EVER seen!

The main thing is you got out of it ralitively unscathed.

I hit a concrete strainer with CX a few years back and ended up doing a flip and landing in a nice soft paddock.
