Judging by the scale of regular vandalism at the summit, it was probably only a matter of time before the cafe copped it. I don't think that anybody had anything personal to gain from that building's demise.

Bloody hell half way between Feathercity and the Hutt thats a rock and a hard place. My mates dad ran the place for a while in the 80's, hard place to make any money.

I am fascinated by how quickly (next day or sooner) the demolition of a burnt building takes place. A heap of junk can sit for years waiting demolition - until a fire and then it is gone before lunch!
