Hawke's Bay weekend rides

Im keen to get a bit of riding in groups going on. Sorta been reading this thread a little bit.

Anyguys in here around the age of 18-28 sorta thing? Im no expert rider or anything but im interested in mixing it up with some guys around my age to go for rides every now and then.

Anyone want to put their hands up on this situation? Or can someone point me to a thread or something where i could progress this?

I could be in but i would like to know what sort of ride it will be. IE will it be a street race or a well paced cruse?

Just a nice cruise. Although i like going fast, i would much prefer just to go at a casual pace and just absorb the ride and enjoy myself. How old are you mate?

I am an orchard hand in a kiwifruit orchard, how about you? For me sunday afternoons are good as well as sat. afternoon

Im a butcher at new world greenmeadows. My days off are fridays and saturdays. So looks like saturdays a go-er.

Im keen to go for a ride this weekend if your free? Not a biggy. Just down to waipuk or something, i havent been there for about 8 years lol ive always travelled highway 50.

Are you going to the V8s next weekend? I am and shit im looking forward to it. Wanted to take my bike but got my partner and one of my mates coming so gota take the commy.

Dont mind night riding but would rather ride day time on roads i dont know. Potholes and the likes.

im 20 and a tool-machining apprentice, i think you may be a bit quick for me atm as i am currently restricted to the scoot

You may find that the young ones of us in HB are getting 'old and soft' meanwhile the older ones of us are still young at heart but we all get along and ride together pretty well

Nah im not too quick. Might have a quick bike but ive only been riding for a year. So ive got smoe skills but definatly havent mastered the 600 yet lol.

Id just go slow anyway let the smaller bikes keep up. I know what its like. Had a ride with my boss on his gsxr1000 when i had a zxr250 lol not fun.

Dont mind riding with older guys. But trying to get more of a young thing going on. Just more relative people to talk to etc. Not bagging the older guys, would happily ride with them. But ya must know where im coming from.

Lol as much as i want to go to the v8s i dont like hordes of drunk people. or hordes of people at all lol. Plus i would rather spend the dosh on the bike

Didnt say i noticed many overly drunk people last year. But your right about all the people it was overcrowded last year lol.

Ive taken a hit in the bank account been spending up on new bits for the bike and 2 new helmets (an AGV and a shoei). Luckily the MRS paid for the tickets, shes got the next few years sorted for Birthday pressies so im happy lol.

By the way. Does anyone want to buy an AGV helmet? Its a large and i feel just a tad too big for me. Its an airtech RRP is about $449. Anyone interested drop me a message and we can work out something.

I get exactly what you mean, it is just different which riding with people who have 'made it' financially with the top notch bikes and stuff. While it is good to hang with them (and learn form them) it is also good to have 'own kind' time
