    Radar detector mounting

Has anybody wired a detector into the tail hump on a busa or TL etc?

Am considering it but wondering if it will affect performance being fully encased in the fiberglass hump.

I would suggest slowing down, then again you ride a Busa

    Whats wrong with tank mount?
Four wheels move the body. Two wheels move the soul. One wheel moves the filth

Relax Officer Pig, It was just a wheelie

Wanted to leave it in there and not have to remove it every time I leave bike unattended.

It will work fine in that position as long as it is pointing to the rear. It should give you plenty of warning of any cops coming up from behind. But as you ride a Busa I would suggest a forward facing unit mounted near the front of the bike. Radar signals penetrate plastic with ease, but will not go through metal, and there is a lot of metal between the rear hump and the front of the bike.
    Time to ride
