I saw what looks to be the same bike on Thursday afternoon around the Hobson St southbound onramp. Yes it does look a bit out of the ordinary, I imagine it would not be very comfortable to ride for long distances/times and be hell to do tight, low-speed maneuvers, but hey, the guy's out enjoying riding his bike, which he is probably very proud of, and really, that's all that matters. Keep riding!!

That sounds interesting, I never knew! What degree of "minding one's own business" though? If a biker looked to be broken down at the side of the road, does a passing biker just mind his/her own business and ride on past? Or was it just a sort of not passing judgement on other peoples' rides kind of minding one's own business?

It could be though that his arms are to sore to clean it.

It's really NOT about the bike; it's about the person riding it.
If that person in the thread photo were riding a BMW, my derision would be identical.

I have noticed though, that many HD owners on KB are overly sensitive and defensive, when any negative comments are made about the brand, or just someone riding it. Why is this. ? You can say anything you like to me about BMW. It's not personal - It's just another bike. Have a go at Suzuki too. I love it.

Back to the OP - I saw that bike on the northen Mway yesterday. Had a bit of a giggle to myself too, but to be fair I like the effort that he's gont to to make it into something that he likes / wants.

People have bikes for different reasons I suppose. That guy obviously gets a kick out of the image and the customisation part of it. Not my cup of tea but there you go.

Saw the bike at the BP in Te Kuiti Yesterday. Personally i thought 'Fuck That'. Just because its not my thing. Quite an old fella riding it, going by his well worn leathers my guess he has forgotten more about bikes than most of you JUDGES will ever learn. Each to their own i say.
