Just watch his other vid where at the red light, this dude just casually ran over it and Mr.Police just looked at him and ignored him completely.

And no, I know Taiwan is not part of China but it HAS been ruled by China since 1945 until 1984. That's a good few years of Communism of One-Party rule and Martial Law. You can for a fact still bribe police on occasions for infringement. They'll ask you: You wanna pay your fine "here" or at the station. which if it's at the station, your bike's Ohlins shocks will be replaced by Shoin/Ilsho/Cheap Parts shocks.

Yeah, and traffic is like this guys said http://www.angelfire.com/mt/mondotaiwan/traffic.html

No, wrong again. Kuomingtang (Chinese Nationalist Party) ruled both China and Taiwan at the end of WWII, but in 1949 the Communists defeated them and they fled to Taiwan. The Communists never ruled Taiwan, and China's rule of Taiwan ended in 1895.

The guy in the video seems to be seriously full of shit. And prone to exaggerate. All this video shows is the guy on the bike is a tosser. And a liar.

WTF... rides along and recounts a story of some things he saw once upon a time.

    The guy has some issues.

    Story 1

He tells how he followed a drunk and watches him lose control and do a 360 then drives off. He didn't realise he hit the other car that stopped till he sees the guy get out of the car and look at it. Miraculously this TWAT remembers the licence plate gets off his bike and gives it to the guy. Both of them sit there call the cops and when the cops come the guy recounts his story. So the cop apparently says how did you know he was drunk. TWAT says "well when the car did the 360 and stopped I went over and punched the window a few times but couldn't break it"... What a cock he is. A few sentences earlier the car spins stops then drives off, he doesn't notice the crash but then sees the guy looking at his car and hopes off his bikes and goes over. So which story is it.

So "Rockai" and co... let's see if I have this right. You post some youtube of a guy who suffers from a lack of attention. The guy exaggerates and lies and is so full of bullshit it's hard to tell where it starts and where it stops then you make critisicisms of the Taiwan police because of this jerk saying he has a problem with them.

I just don't get the whole idea of the thread. Yes the poster on youtube is a wanker. After that nothing else makes much sense.

So can we just give this whole thing a rest. I don't see the point in slagging off Taiwan based on the views of this jerk.

Am I missing the point here. I now don't expect you to google to find every bit of trash you can on Taiwan to support the idea of this thread.

You can find trashy comments on most things if you look.

I just don't get where this is all going.

I do find it a little offensive to slag people or places off just because someone else does. I've listened to this guys rant and clearly he's full of it. Man if he hates the place so much why doesn't he just leave.

Mate I think you're just digging a bigger hole. It may be best to stop posting and just leave the guy on youtube looking like a wanker.

I'd say nothing. The driving seems normal. Different countries of different accepted levels of driving. I have a client who comes from the middle east and when her returns from Iran you do not hop in the car with him for 3 weeks. It takes about that long for him to get the driving style out of his system. The first time I went with him after returning I thought the guy had a death wish.

Of course go to Brisbane and drive on the motorway and all the cars pass and move left. very civilised. The right lane is often empty. Coming to NZ from Aus and you think fuck where did these folks learn to drive.

Currently we have to pass on the left for a slow car in the right lane. NZ Police announced they are looking to get new laws introduced making it illegal to pass on the left here.

So after the law comes in you'll have to tail gate the slow driver in the fast lane. I was behind one the other day doing 80 kmph. So we'll get people flashing tehir lights, tail gating, tooting horns and then road rage as a result of the new rules.

We should just do what they do in Oz. If you don't move left after passing and stay out in the second or third lane when there is no one on your left then you get ticketed. It seems much smarter to me.

I am not looking forward to the law that bans passing on the left. I think they're ticketing the wrong people.

When the new law arrives some self righteous person will blindly sit in the outside lane knowing you can do nothing.

I must write in to make my views known before we get a law we don't need.

Of course the new law would mean open season on bikes. And what chance do I have of getting a car doing 80 kmph in the outside lane to move left.

Defensive? No just wondering why you'd post someone who is full of shit to promote a view.

I'm just wondering what your agenda is.

The fact is the guy in the video tells a story where the second half contradicts the first half. Clearly he makes it up as he goes. Without the contradictions the story's just seem way over the top. We all know people like the youtube poster who just exaggerate and tell the biggest bullshit. So big everyone just looks at each other and rolls their eyes.

This guy falls into that category. I fail to see how his rants mean anything other than he's a tosser.

I don't really have a lot of time for someone who goes to another country and then complains about everything that is different to back home. I have less time when the person is exaggerating for attention.

I'm still at a loss to see what these youtube posts are meant to mean.

Mordeth seems like one of those self appointed highway police that travel at 95KM/h and won't let you pass.

Ok, Morderth is wanker, simple. But that car driver is a wanker too, he could have run over a few of the scooters there.

Oh btw, it's the opposite of that. I'm not from here . I think he's just in a phase realisation of another country traffic culture. Heck, I hate my traffic back home having to dodge bicyclist in the fast lane most of the time. Yes, BICYCLiST in the FAST/BUS/CAR lane trying to cross the road and fell over themselves for no reason. That's a death wish that keep bugging me, go die in a hole somewhere else.

But yeah, youtube poster are wankers most of the time.

yeah i was thinking that too - the fact he still posted it up despite this obvious contradiction is a bit odd

ffs if anything passing on the left is safer than following some idiot oblivous to the queue of flashing lights and tailgaters behind them

saw a classic where as soon as a small hatchback driver got onto the motorway he kept on the indicator and hopped into a VERY tight gap between a truck and a tailgating/drafting ute, and then out into the full right hand lane.
the shocking part? the left hand lane was completly clear, as it usually is on the northwestern between pt chev and te atatu outside of rush hour

So why do you think this idiot does it and does he care for the other drivers? Does he think what he's doing is right and it's safe? Does he thinks for his family back home, his friends, his works? Will you do it yourself?

Take care on the motorway mate.

I think he was just lying to the cop to see if he would react, but yes he was lying to the cop.
