I was initially annoyed, but she didn't mean it, no harm done in the end I suppose, and hopefully it taught her to look out for bikes in the future.

That's something I wonder, whenever we have a close call, do you reckon it teaches the drivers that we travel faster than they realise and therefore as a result they are more vigilant in the future.....or do you maybe reckon they just think it's our fault? :slap:

you're just being nice 'coz she's hot...

Hot women get away with everything!! I'll bet the actual Bain murderer was a hot blonde who then slept with the investigating detective who then burnt down the house.

Damn right.....if it was a fat sweaty bloke I'd have yelled and given the middle finger salute. It's the law of the jungle...."hotties get away with shit" (female hotties only might I add) Clause 45.A subclause B I think.

What is it with Welly drivers?
I had to do a trip from Porirua to the airport during peak a couple of weeks back.A friggin nightmare with thousands of cars on the stop way (can't call it a motorway when you have to continually stop!) and 99.9% of them had one occupant.FFS no wonder the traffic chokes up.

PS I made room for every splitting bike but mumbled and grumbled with envy as they shot off into the distance.

No, I mean that we get to 50km/h faster than the cars do. Like when pulling away from lights.

Nothing wrong with the gorge... I split up and down it almost everyday during peak hour...

Except I'm on a pushbike once in awhile these days... Now that sucks big time...

Seriously though - it does seem to me that Wellington drivers have become more testy, impatient and much much less considerate of late. Unless it's just that I actually notice it all more because I am riding more defensively and actually paying more attention than I used to
    +2
