The Taumaranui Holiday Park people likely don't know, given one person books then fills the cabin. At this stage I have one bed left (in a 4 berth) but have offered it to young1. He is to let me know Monday if he is going to stay, so still a possibility.

There is also potential to tent. I know of at least one person that is doing that...

1 spare bed left in my cabin, let me know if you want it.

I also know of 1 other spare bed in another cabin if anyone else requires it.

other lurkers wondering whether to bring their large machines (in my case read 'Pig' - affectionately of course) - I'm leaning toward not being a wuss and using my bimmer! PS Don't think I'll replace the screen yet post the damage I inflicted whilst on the TTTT last year. Hoping not to break me or the bimmer on this trip - Carpe Diem - better get on and do some chores

we'll make some room for ya mate, weather looking sketchy so would be good to be sleeping under a roof.

I might be bringing the tent, this will make it a true adventure weekend!
Weather, hmm, as long as it is dry during the ride, I can whether the weather in the tent and if it is too bloddy wet and the river floods, I might come knocking...

Mind you, if it is THAT bad, me thinks there might be some postponing of the Traverse and Fishers..

Nice and clean for next week...

It was high time the KTM got a clean. I decided after last Easter weekend that it needed some much loving care and attention. I took the wheels off, got the rear replaced with a Pirelli I used for the CCA last year. It was still in very good nic, especially after riding from Te Aroha, Wellington, Te Aroha, wet weather, dry weather and mud on the tracks.
I took off the brake rotors, cleaned them, repacked the cush rubbers, they were tight as still! 32000Km on the clock, brakes looked good.

Swingarm is nice and clean now, sprocket looks good, although this is only a couple of thousand Km old, as is the chain.

The whole dash came out, the odometer and Tacho were taken off, all cleaned in behind the dash, wiped, wd40'd and it looked good. I still haven't solved the slowly fading digital display, although after putting the whole thing back together and testing it, it looks good. Maybe I have solved it with the cleaning, lubricating.

I have lost the neutral light, but I knew this as I pinched the wire and it don't work, I think it might actually be a switch because it works from the speedo side but not the bike side? Hmm. Not to worry, I am used to big traillies so will just feel for neutral and use the clutch lever as one does....

The pictures show it a little dirty still, damn....
I useda toothbrush too, it has taken me 8 hours all up, it was pretty feckin dirty!!

Hey, now I am ready for the Taumarunui roads, the 42nd Traverse and the Fishers track.....Some of the best kept secret roads around the King country...Yeehaa!
