    Don't ya hate that...

Finally got my bike back from the shop after having its' service a couple of weeks ago - started titooing with it then realised noones home so i could shoot out for a quick ride & not be missed.

Riding down the road & heard a slight rattle - stopped & looked around - everything there -all 38 horses counted for- up the Maungatapu over rocks & mud, careful on the way down & when I get home, satisfied that I really do have the skills to not only participate but give those damn soppy girlyboy europeans a good tootle upthe gunga din at the erzburg enduro, I realise my crappy little stock toolkit isn't there but the buckles are undone

So you know how you look at them & think how useless the stock tools look - all cheap looking with that thing in there that noone knows what it is but you keep it in there anyway cos that's what came with the bike.... Well when you think about it it has all the appropriate sized silly spanners for axles & allenkeys & of course the aforementioned thing that noboy knows what it's for, & realise that although the plastic case is shitty & will split at the sides when you sneeze on it whilst carrying it over that muddy puddle to your mate who "likes to ride lite man" & the galv pressed Russia grade 38 steel pliers that never close the way you want it to unless the inside of your forefinger& thumb is in their direct path of closure (what is that part of your body called) & the little spanners that aren't little spanners at all cos the guys at Kawasaki were having their end of year drinks & wondered if they put in a couple of off cuts from the production run of brake calipers if the stupid round eyes would try to use them...

    Anyway where was I ...

Oh yeah they can be quite useful at times.

So I'll have to put off my first job & ride back up there tomm morning & hopefully see them.

    As you were...

Actually there is at least one tool missing from that kit. When (if) you get it back you'll see that theres nothing to remove the side panels with (8mm socket). And of course you have to get those covers off if you want to get to anything else.
edit - and that bit between your thumb and forefinger is called the "web" and it is designed to hurt like f*ck when you pinch it with any pliers, let alone shitty grade 38 russian rejects
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    I lost my tobacco *cough,cough*
    Good luck finding them!

One better though, I had a tyre pando in me handybag, all buckled down I will add. It turned out to be faulty and went off filling my bag with this shit and spilling out the back and on to the windowscreen of an arse that was tailgating me! I didnt realise until I got to my destination and went in my handbag and found the mess! Now I know why the tail gatter backed off in a hurry

Passed 3 4wds going up the track so lucky I got in early.
