could meet you at the abandoned mobil station just before mcdonalds on the main rd at Paraparaumu at 7.30.

Should be going through Sanson about 8.30-8.45 if you feel like an early start Joe/Gerard?

Google map link HERE says your trip will be about 240 kms.

8.00 am start might be leaving it a little tight allowing for meeting others along the way and gas stops etc ... to be at the Matahiwi track before 11.00
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

OK - thanks Mark (aka MotoXNut) - call me a cautious old fart - on reflection - I think Mark is right - Make that 7.30am fuelled and good to go from Shell Mana.

GarryW & KSlider - I imagine you'll both be OK with this? Joe and Gerard - assume you're both watching and will make a call about joining us or doing the Whangaehu Valley with MarkS and AndyMac.

I can see considerable scope for confusion here - my aim is to reach the Matahiwi start in comfortable time for an 11am start. Otorohanga is a long way from the Whanganui National Park

MOTOXNUT I am not 100% sure yet if I am joining up with Marks and riding with him on Saturday to Taumarunui, or meeting your group.

if I met your group at the Awakino petrol station on Saturday what time would you like me to be there?

Hi Mike the plan is to arrive in Awakino and then those who want to can have a play on the beach then gas up before we leave.

The earliest we would be leaving is 2.00pm but it will be probably closer to 2.30pm.

    Volunteer Required

As stated in the calender the idea with this ride is to use the Corner Man System to keep the ride flowing without having to stop at every corner & intersection. This system has worked well with other rides i have been on

Soooo .... I need a volunteer to act as Tail End Charlie to be the last rider through on the road sections

    Any takers ?????
