That one year working for the Army and working for blokes who'd trained at Sandhurst and Duntroon taught me that I didn't want to be a manager, and that a decent manager is a long way from anyone I'd ever worked for, before or since. I've been kinda impressed by this thread.
It's surprising how many people have been in the services and the broad spectrum of types of service and countries etc. Very impressive guys and gals!

Yep, me too!, when I started this thread I thought 'there wont be very many of us' but,8 pages later, boy was I wrong! Many thanx to you allI've been kinda impressed by this thread.

It's a case of like-minded people. I think generally most people here have a sense of community and the brotherhood/sisterhood of biking is the thing that brings us together. It surprised me at first that there were so many forces people here then I thought "why not?" The biker community has always stuck together and here is no different.Yep, me too!, when I started this thread I thought 'there wont be very many of us' but,8 pages later, boy was I wrong! mine had to be the Phillipines..had a great time there..Scuba, dirty great rock nightclubs, mountains, beaches,a few hours by MAC airtaxi to anywhere

hell man ... gunfire at 5 am was Cleveland Ohio... was so used to it by the time i got to Lebanon that it didnt phase me at all

You guys are so lucky!!! (sarcasm) I went to Singapore for a bit to help out with the 1st battalion pullout but only for about a month. I spent more time pissed than anything and don't remember doing much work or remember much at all!

I came this close [holds finger & thumb up] to getting to Antartica, Got issued with all the Deep Freeze kit & was all psyched up ready to go, & then , at the last minute,was replaced by some Army officer!!!WTF??? still dont know the full story to this day!!
