I don't care less if I dont get a wave or a nod, I'm pissed about getting the fingers from the second shithead, btw Finn, why would I get my head beaten in?

Mmm..I'm just a little suspicious about whose needs are really being met when you do this. Is it a one or two handed act? How long does it continue after the bikers have passed? If it occurs frequently does it help prevent unpleasant undy stench buildup? Golly..the more I think about this the more I realise how little I know about hardcore biker etiquette.

It's only a problem on particularly cold days.

A good run today. Over 160 miles (yes, miles) and plenty of bikes about. Lots of nods given and received - from cruisers as well as sporties. Good on ya!

Some of you guys are`nt very nice I try and wave to all bikers or do the nod, iI even did it when I passed a harley today(we were going the same way).Does`nt matter what you ride some people wave/nod some don`t , I do it as a sign of respect that you are on two wheels and I hope you make it where ever you are going safely.

I wave to other bikes because that is "me".

Other bikes wave or don't wave, for whatever reason, because that's "them".

I don't give a f**k really, it just seems nice to acknowledge one another.

Why I do that! I do not know, I don't wave to other cages trucks etc when I am in a car.

I think it's a hangover from when there were so few of us (bikers) on the shitty old lonely roads.

It's not compulsory to be friends with anyone but it can be rewarding. :spudwave: Free to choose. John.

To be honest I get more waves than not and to top it off a mate just paid $62,000 for an anniversary edition screamin eagle battlestar galactica mothership thingamebob with a heated seat. I'm not 100% sure if thats it's real name tho but shit it's big.

At my noob stage, keeping both hands on the bars is a must for me! Especially when I'm pushing it on the moronway! I just do the noddy nod nod thing and can only hope my awareness is good enuff to acknowledge all those bikers I do pass!

I do the wave when I'm stationary at a stop and hope its not distracting the rider!

How's this for your typical h rider? Must have been to busy giving the fingers to the sports bike coming the other way.

Sorry, didn't realise you were a tough guy. So why does someone giving you the fingers upset you?

Just a need to vent out I guess? Tomorrow I'll most likely have forgotten the whole episode and think about the more important things in life. You're right Finn, it shouldn't have upset me.
