torque eh? More cc generally = more torque.

Also V-twin or V4 = more torque, generally less top end. But in saying that you can run smaller sprokets to get the top end up on big v-twins as they have the torque to get you off the line.

Think you will find the 1k IL4s actually produce more torque than the vtwins

    Duc
    Power* 110 kw - 150 hp @ 9750 rpm
    Torque* 11.9 kgm (86.1 lb-ft) @ 8000 rpm

    gsxr k5 1k
    Power* 132.7 kw - 178 hp @ 12000 rpm
    Torque* 120Nm (88.5 lb-ft)

why not learn to ride good first? Get a 600 or SV650 and learn to ride it properly, not just blasting off in a straight line.

As for tyre shreading, you'll want to look at an inline four as V-twins have a slower pulse rate than an ILF and therefore tend to be gentler on tires (in WSBK anyway)

    Big Torque?
    TL1000R or S, S handles better apparently.
    VTR1000
VTR SP (RC51) race version of VTR1000, probably out of your price range.
RSV1000R Italian V-twin race bike, 20k+ second hand.
    Any 900cc+ Ducati
Then theres the hypersports (late ZX11, ZX12, Busa, ZX14, Blackbird)
