I would have shagged the dog in the arse to teach it some respect.

and then gone for the old lady.

If people trained their dogs properly, the dogs wouldnt do this!
Its bullshit that you can be liable to attack when on someones property with the person there by you. If people don't, can't or won't have control of there dogs at all times, they shouldn't have one - and that goes for those little yappy bundles of shit as well!
It merely shows that the dog is in control - that, or the owner is tacitly allowing it to attack youby not having it under control!

I think the question here is - did the dog attack once you were inside the property or (as I read it) it was able to come OVER the gate and attack you off the property in a public street. If it was the latter then it could do the same to anyone who strays too close and needs to be reported to dog control. Or the next victim could be badly hurt.

Ya have just gotta love Dover's approach to life's little problems. (You crack me up Dover!)
There's just not enough green bling available to reward his clear concise and practical utterances.
How refreshing it would be if Helen Clark swapped places with Dover!
Dogs and little old ladies showing "respect" would be a good start! Cheers, John.(lol)

amazes me that people are allowed to have a dog without a prior training course in how to handle it .

then again - it amazes me that people are allowed to have a CHILD without .....

I agree that the owner should have control of the dog at all times but I didn't get the impression the lady was walking him through the gate.

he said 'I approached the gate' not 'we ...'

I also getting the feeling that the dog was a visitor too hence the inadequate fence and digsaw not expecting it in his neighbours property. The animal should have been tied up.

Definitely, I'm teaching Satan to be a right savage little bastard.

Not that he needs much teaching, he's a natural born killer.

And he's smart too. He growled at Crazy Steve and then pissed in his helmet.

Get the old lady put down....now that she's got the taste she'll only do it again.
We can't have unrestrained old ladies leaping fences at every stranger going past....or have I mis-read this thread?
