Another point to add to my earlier post - It's not just the policing system that is fucked, it's also our justice system that is meant to be a check on our police and ensure that those corrupt cops get what they deserve. But the justice system also fails the hard working cops too - when they dish out slaps on the wrist to criminals instead of throwing the book at them. Each time it fails, the justice system negates the hard work of the good cops catching real crims.

You're policing system is not that corrupt/bad. But in saying that they do have an air of "untouchable" about them. Many times in the media a case has come up. Cop does something bad everyone gets in a row and then what happens. The "investigation into the matter" drags on long enough for the media to find another big event to sink thier teeth into and the offence gets "quietly delt with"

I'm hanging out for the first tazer related death. Not the one with the guy coming at the police with a machette or something. But the kid running from the cops and getting tazered in the back or something. With the cop get charged with murder? In almost zero circumstances will an officer draw a pistol (or sometimes even have one) in nz. But with tazers they will be more likely to use them in situations they had previously delt with in a less life threatening manner.

When they acquired Woolworths NZ, our business with them almost doubled. Now that Woolworth's Aus owns Progressive, we have a HUGE opportunity in Aus. We're an exception but lets face it, most kiwi products aren't very good or they're not competitive.
