I think every person has the ability to recognise a threat to oneself dont they? If you have a situation which you feel threatened in and you are a police officer why shouldnt you have an arsenal to draw from, why shouldnt you protect yourself. If you are the offender and you are threatening a police officer I hope you get nailed to the fucken wall with a tazer and spray or whatever 1/ you shouldnt be threatening an officer of the law 2/ if you do I would not like to see any PC namby Pamby bullshit for the offender to hide behind.

To all you poor unhappy residents of NZ: Piss off to another country where there are no speed cameras, lasers, tasers, radar, pepper-spray, Glocks, rude cops, dishonest politicians, bad drivers, rip-off bike sales, expensive petrol and poor roads - I think it's a place called Honalee...

i havent read the whole thread, sorry...
but i dont think its a bad thing the police get these tazers, they are there to protect us and themselves, im fairly sure they wouldnt get used unless necessary.
fucked if i'd do what they do without one!
There maybe one or two cops that may end up using them in the wrong situation, but i think the advantages out wieght the negatives. IMHO of course.

One incident caught on camera and broadcast without any information as to the circumstances and you tar us all with the same brush. I've sprayed handcuffed people before, the last one was a female, drugged out, handcuffed in the back of the patrol car, with another cop trying to restrain her using "minimal" force but still managing to kick me while I'm driving her back to the station.

If anyone with a video camera had seen me pull over, stop, lean through to the back seat and spray the bitch in the face and then drive on again, what would they have thought of that? Would I be on TV3 news and all of the retards on this site damning me to hell because I'm a corrupt pig. Would anyone be interested in the circumstances or would you all be bleating like you are now?

Don't bother answering the question cos I already know what they will be.

Can you get Hepatitis or AIDS transmitted?

Shouldn't they be cleaned before use?
