I may or may not be there, the Girl friend and I organised to go for a ride this weekend with one of her work mates so I'll see if they are keen on this ride.
Bring them all along, the more the merrier, should be a great ride!

Well despite what you alledge, I'm happy with my Honda.

Well, I went for a bit of a tour today. I took the bike home from tech in Mt Albert. From home I went down to Maungataphere(sp?), back to Pokeno, out to Port Waikato, back home through Pukekohe and Bombay; then out through Clevedon to Maraetei(sp?); and back home.

I'm all set and looking forward to Sunday, provided I can get a baby sitter. I'll be riding with the slowies naturally.
I could write a library on all the stuff I don't know if I knew it!

Hey Maverick whats the turn around time for this ride?

I really want to go but if I disappear for the whole day the missus will have hung, drawn and quartered on my return.

It is a "Most of the day" ride, I cant remember what time we got back, Warlock can you remember what time we got to mt eden? (we took a short route back so will be a bit longer on the day)
I would guesstimate be back in botany about 4? (meeting at 9.30)

hey theres nothing wrong with Honda motorcycles, the comment was more directed towards the riders and in fact dont take my comment personally...was mainly aimed at Mr McJim-burger as he made a mention that Honda riders are generalised as being gay

for those who are more gas concious amongst us,
if you ride a Bandit like myself you will probably need a tank and a half from botany for the run, I normally fill up with 98 at Botany, there was no 98 at the lunch place and i was almost empty on the homeward stretch, so i settled for 6 bucks of 96 to get me to civilization.

Rookie - does your bike work? Will we see you on Sunday?

If you ride a Hyosung GT250R or a Honda VTR250 however you will make it on one tank as the trip is around 300km I believe. Fub@r - you'll still have enough to get you to Wellington and back!

Perhaps, but the more important difference was arriving at the turn around point, where my Ho-bag riding companion waddled off his bike clutching his testicles muttering something about unborn children, while I looked on most amused...
Ahhh the smooth purring beauty of a four cylinder...
That and the fact he couldnt keep up in the corners

Oohhh Maverick - sounds a little like the slap of a gauntlet there! Not for the learner friendly rides eh?

As far as unborn children are concerned - mine are both born and I've been 'fixed' anyway so I've nothing to lose!

    I still think V-twins rock.
