Talk to Sugi about Tyre Pressures. I was running 38 at the back too.

Now I run 33 Front, 34 Back. Bike feels far far better as a result.

Give it some time dude, you'll get used to it. If your backs spinning up, maybe you're applying the throttle too quick. Are you rolling on smoothly?
What rev range are you putting in on in?

Also, Are you shifting your body weight? Talk to Uncle B.
What tyres are you running. If they're bridgestones, I'd swap!

All in all, A good ride I take it?

more rear spring preload.....will help resist squat......especially with luggage or pillion on it....when a bike squats quite abit the rear can feel like its sliding or spinning....also while doing this the geometry alters...increasing steering angle....which is where the feeling of running wide is coming from....

Hey bro, I think you might just need a bit more confidence in the thing. Get a few good riders to have ride up the hill on it for their impressions. If they don't have a prob thens it's most likely in the head. I get the same thing all the time, always thinking the front or the rear "doesn't feel right". A good hard fang on the hill often sorts it out.

One thing Deano just noticed is that the back, when pushed in, does not come back fast enough..not sure what that means though. Yeah...want a good rider to check it out for me..someone of same height, weight...Uncle B, Fancy a ride?
Also..Shaun said to contact him, so will do that..get his input.
It could all be in my head..but last time I went to lake ferry, I took Martin's bike on the way back and all of a sudden my head cleared..
I'm gonna lower the tire pressures for now and see what it does..just waiting for the road to dry up. Hoping for a good weekend.

the bike goes down about 30cm in the back, but takes a while to get back up.

Give Shaun a call, he will see you right. I spoke to him about my GSXR and he gave me some good info on how to sort it and why it feels similar to how yours does.

Mine felt like I was riding a marshmallow on a pogo stick, it squats bad and doesn't hold lines and pushes wide with factory suspension settings. Preload is far to soft, so he recommended the sag settings for my bike and Im gonna go change it all this weekend.

sounds like you need to back off your rear rebound some...sounds like the rear is pumping down in corners....it should return to normal in about a second after a good push on the rear....and should settle instantly...as in not come up further and then settle back down...

Reckon it's your rebound being to soft for sure.
Whats happening is your bike's rear end is squating in the corner and therefore creating a nose up situation, this will cause your bike to drift wide on the exit of the corner. This is not the same as having to much front compression damping which causes the bike to drift wide on the entry of a corner. Should take about a second to return to normal. If you don't feel confident to attack it your self then maybe checkout some of those offers for sorting it out.
Well worth sorting it out on such an awsome bike!

Wrong mate. Cowpoos has it right. Too much rebound damping for starters.

I'm beginning to wish I had bought a honda....Got a guy on the hill today with the same bike..bout 1800kms on the clock and had an oil leak..starting to get worried.Hopefully a good summer will change my mind!
I must add that Heimish from Darbi's changed a few settings on the back and it felt way better today. Thanks for that!
