Best mod for a sportsbike? Pipe, cause standard pipes are just gay.

Best bang for buck mod? Sprockets (gearing).

Best overall mod? Spend some $ on ya suspension.... oh yeah, and rider training but I'm so slow I'm beyond help.

Sorry Zed, can't get them for Honda's.

Suzuki retard the timing in the first 3 gears to try and protect squids from hurting themselves, this little device gets around that giving said squids the power to loop their bike at will. (God knows why suzuki do it to the pos SV's?)

Honda don't retard the timing as they're already gutless.

If you notice a power difference after installing a performance filter it's for one of two reasons. Either the old filter was dirty and blocked so bad that the engine couldn't breath, or you're imagining it.

It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

F$%^'n sweet! After reading that Dom Jones report, I can't think of anything cooler than travelling around the US and racing.

haven't found a downside - maybe I'll use a bit more fuel 'cus i'll be givin git sticks all over the place....

I got mine at colemans, I'm sure it would be cheaper to order it from the website or direct. It took 15 minutes or so, most of that was routing the wiring neatly and deciding where to mount the gear indicator thingy.

Gear thing would help, had one on my old 250, sorta missed it on the ZXR, now i just count gears on the R6 (when i need to know) which is what the racers do anyway.

How does your gear change display work?
to be honest the gear indicator is a fancy bonus, that just came along with the TRE - I'd have been happy without it as well.

so as I said, Just curious as to why?
as above the GI is a bonus and a gimmic, I bought the unit for the TRE

I popped a BMC in when I put my yoshi pipe on and it makes a big difference, worth getting the fueling remapped by the local dealer as mine ran lean afterwards.

Hey mate I'm not shitting you, put from standing starts and low rpms in low gears - its a different bike, no question - I used to have a noticable hesitation in the bikes response at low revs/rpm - now its like a rocket off the line. It hasn't added any extra BHP, but just feels like its loosened the whole bike up down low where it was quite lumpy, now its a lot more eager to get up the revs and me into trouble!!!!

Strange my bike ran rich after my pipe and filter

Same fuel is used(i never noticed change in fuel milage after installing mine) But i still don't think its the best mod to do on a 600/750, a 1000+

Mine has always been so hopeless at low low rpms I just thought thats the way it was, I then took another K5 with a micron out and it seemed a bit smoother in the same rev range - I put that down to the pipe, when I put my filter on with stock pipe it ran fine, but the yoshi pipe made it very rough and idol very unevenlycut out alot - a black box rejig sorted that out

will post a picture, once I've given it a wash!!!!!

I thought about a power commander..but decided it was going to be too expensive, especially after the yoshi - maybe later

The TLs had really bad stutters at low rpms..3-4000..TRE fitted and they dissapeared completly...been having alot of fun mucking about with settings on yosh box...just wish i could afford a full system to make the most of it.

Yep, can vouch for the fact that Zed's Blade is not gutless. Goes quite well actually.

Was thinking of pulling over and letting him pass a few times oon last Saturdays Coro run, but then I thought nah, this is too much fun so he had to suck 1400 fumes for a while.

At least get a dyno baseline run done. Make sure it's not too far out.

That was a great part of the ride, i was more than happy to let you lead thru them hills, part of my fun was watching you throw that machine around the 25 and 35km twisties!
