Argh! That sucks PB. Still, at the end of the day it's better to have your wheels in one piece than try and piece it together only for it to crap itself halfway along the ride. Next time.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

does the old saying "safety in numbers" ring true on a ride like this?

looks like I cant get parts for wof in time, but figure Id still cruise along.

Just wondering what the chances are of the plod wanting to do a 50 bike licence + rego check

I'd be more worried about Mr Insurance than Mr Plod!

Better to keep legal discrepancies to yourself I reckon.

Yeah - ride within your limits everybody. Last BIG KB ride I was on there was a crash on the Takas within 10 minutes of leaving Caltex, then at least one more because a rider was pushing their limits too far, but only realised mid corner when it was too late.

    Too true mate!

I've said it before....but I love repeating myself!
If you want or need to show us all how fast you are....go racing.
On a race track where there's no traffic heading in the other direction.
    Oh yeah....and an ambulance handy.

Have a safe trip there mate, and just remember, the closer you get to Welly, the windier it gets!! Look forward to meeting you tomorrow, unless you want to catch up for dinner or drinks tonight.

Forecast is now for rain today and bright sunshine tomorrow.

    See you all there!
