    **UPDATE**

    Weather tomorrow:

Wellington - Early Drizzle, fine breaks later. Dying Northerlies.
Masterton - Cloudy Periods, risk of afternoon shower. Light winds.

    Fuel
It'd be a good idea to fill up before leaving Caltex tomorrow morning. There is fuel available in Featherston (although we're not stopping here) and in Martinborough.
A tank of gas should be more than enough to get you from Caltex, around the back of the lake and to Martinborough then filling up in Martinborough should see you right for the trip to Masterton.

    Lunch
The staff at the pub are expecting us!!! When you arrive at the Pukemanu please place your order for lunch, don't wait for everyone to arrive first before ordering.
For those of you that have PMed me with your order, you'll need to order too. The PMs were so I could give the pub an indication of how many of each meals we'd need.
There is also going to be a vegetarian panini type option.

    Sweeper - Novice Group
I still need a sweeper for the novice group. You don't need any special skills, you just need to be happy riding at the back of the group and be prepared to stop and lend a hand if required. Please either PM me or come and find me tomorrow morning at Caltex.

    Re-grouping Points
Along the way we'll have brief stops for the groups to re-group. The following are the points that we will re-group:
    • Featherston, just before the turn-off for the Eastern Lake Road
    • On the corner of Eastern Lake Road & the East West Access Road
These will be brief stops and and soon as your group's sweeper arrives the group will depart.

    Group Riding
For many of you...this won't be your first group ride, but if it is, it's important to form a staggered riding position. ie. _--_--_--

    See you all tomorrow.

Has been looked at. It has broken up where the pipes join together into one. I could have got them to do a patch up job but not for the price I was quoted . They could possibly be fixed but not in the short amount of time they had and for more then what they are probably worth.
You know you had a good nite when you have to ask someone if you had a good nite.

Fark - call me a dumass!! I just (at this late stage) thought of someone who could've done it for you. Put a sleeve over the break and welded it around. He did the same thing 2 weeks ago for someone else I know... Damn I feel like an arse!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.

And probably more people (like me) who are keeping a nervous eye on the weather and therefore haven't signed up because they're going to see what it's like on the day.

    (Hope that's not a problem...)
Me and my imaginary friend have been goin' round the bend for some time now....

Yeah - and now I'm all confused like because I've watched the weather forecast.

Drizzle clearing...calm over the hill...but - how likely is it that they've got it right? Nervous chewing on fingernails...

A few of us are meeting at 9.00 at the Jville BP, if anyone is keen to meet there before riding to Rimutex.

Don't use Rain X on visors. It roots them. Use Nikwax visor proof.
