Teach Miss Sniper the "Reverse Turning Elbow Smash to the Jaw".
That way she can return any future acts of idiocy with "oh I'm sorry - I didnt see you standing behind me..."

i hope you reported it to the cops, by law you have to if someone is hurt.
insurance will insist on it also, the love to find loop hole! dont let them screw you! just stick to your guns on value and replacement, you should not be disadvantaged in anyway. otherwise shout small claims court at their client(gold toyota) those fuckn insurance companies will try it on, trust me!!

Speaking as somebody who has been recently "reversed" into by a Toyota, if the Police charge the driver with careless driving, then you'll be amazed at the stops your insurer can pull out.

I hope you collected names and addresses from witnesses.

Had the same thing happen to me once, but I was in a car! I was following an elderly woman out of a supermarket carpark and she apparently realised she'd forgotten to buy something. Instead of going out the exit and coming back in through the entrance a hundred metres or so along the road, she just put it in reverse and planted it! I wasn't right up her rear end but there was a Land Rover right behind me and the exit was narrow so I had nowhere to go. I blasted on the horn and flashed my lights but she still hit me. Got fed up with driving around until it got fixed and having people assume I ran up the back of someone!

She must have been deaf because even if she hadn't looked in her mirrors (pretty obvious that she hadn't!) she should have heard the horn! It was my father's three-week-old car so I got out and called her a stupid bitch. She then went to see my father and said I had been incredibly rude to her! He asked what I'd said and when he heard I'd only called her a stupid bitch (but repeated it endlessly...) he said she was lucky she hadn't hit him because he would have called her a lot worse!

Pleased to hear no lasting injuries, could have been a lot worse for Miss Sniper.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

i tend to leave a decent gap between me and the car in front at the lights...not really a bolt hole, but can give the chance to roll backwards if some dumb fuck does the same thing. trucks especially tend to roll back a bit on take off.

Jeez Stu, that's no good. Anything you want/need let me know. I know that protective feeling. You can mess with me a ll you like, I don't care, but as soon as you f*ck with my missus or kids and I'll kick your arse.

The exact same thing happened to me a while back - a Toyota Previa stopped and reversed right into me (at least a half a car length), I fell off and rolled away as they kept backing and lodged my bike under the back of the van. The insurance paid out as they were tourists in a rental and admitted liability, but it didn't make up for the 6 weeks spent catching the bus waiting for my baby to recover at the bike hospital.

    FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!!

I have eventually got hold of the claims manager at this guys broker and been told that cause he has a high excess, they would only ring me if the repairs went over $1600. So I have been waiting 4 fucken weeks for them to call me and they havent because they didnt think they needed to. Nice of them to fucken tell me!!

Anyway, Im after some help please.

I want to know (I am researching myself, but Im going MIA over the weekend, so I want to get this hurried along).

*How much for a set of tail fairings for a 2kr FZR250 (Just fairings doesnt advertise them)
    *New front gaurd
*I need to get the forks checked, but Ive got a funny feeling they are fucked, so what would a new set be worth or a suitable replacement.

The other little things like clutch lever, mirror and indicator wont be too bad, so I'll ring around.

Thanks for the help guys and gals

Just add that to the total claim. Not at fault = no pay for anything.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Ive been told by his insurance broker though that if the total amount to fix it falls under $1600, then its my job to chase him up for the damages. Is this right???

Doesn't sound right, that's why people have insurance to avoid others chasing them up etc. and they know the system, but don't worry it will be easy to push over 1600 just go to a shop and say you need a quote to repair the bike for insurance and it should be over 1600 $ they can then give you a quote for that.....
