do not put ANY additives into your bike ..

unless you have a hi-comp performance engine .. i wouldnt even use octane boost..just a waste of $$ and effort ..

99% of the oil/ fuel treatments are snake oil man .. that includes carb and FI cleaners ..

end of the day .,.. a m/c fuel system is easy enough to strip and clean manually

slick50 is sludge in a bottle

i run 50/50 leaded race gas and Mobile 98 on my FJ

....i have similar compression to you and it does a great job..( i wouldnt run it on cast pistons but if you have forged you should be ok).. check that the gas you are running is a 'fast-burn' fuel though

if you a have a bit of extra cash .. you can get some F&L SP-3 or S/T from Sedgin auto parts in 5 gallon cans for about $140

The indepentant tests Iv'e seen show Amsoil to be the best too but
"Mobile 1 racing 4t" rated a very close second and is around half the price at $50 for 4 litres. I get it from Allied petrolium here in Hawkes bay. I think there are other allied outlets around the country.

Does anyone have a link to these tests?

Just do a search on ''synthetic oil'' and you'll get half a dozen pages of Amsoil - they seem to have done some sort of scam there.....and that puts my back up for a start.Amsoil don't make oil,I think the base is Mobil, but it could be anything.Of course the quality of an oil is in the additive, which is what Amsoil is doing.I don't like the way Amsoil market their product.....but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the oil.
