That's just what I was thinking, the Maha's giving the DMNTD the learn
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Thanks for organising a great ride maha man (+ Mrs maha) and thanks for your great company. It was a change of scenery and a change of company to the coro loop and the ornery looking usual suspects from down south (ok Korn you are excepted). A good sensible riding pace on a wettish sort of a day with no bins or frights. Big ups to the Rozzer who had the front to pitch up at the meet and give us a friendly briefing. So scumdog you are not alone when it comes to being not a bad sort of a cop. Good skills ZRXer for giving him a friendly introduction. Those that know Steve will agree he wouldn't have exactly looked like Santa Claus dressed in leather as he strolled across the carpark and stuck his head in the cops window.
I continue to marvel over the power of the internet and its ability to get like minded people together from all walks of life to share knowledge, share their common interests and, most importantly, to socialise.
And finally , Julie you are one plucky young lady who is not only brave in your life but bloody brave jumping onto the back of an old Helensville Hoons bike..! Far braver than me, it's clear you have done it all before and are an easy pillion to take. And you shouted me lunch and beer..! Get a bike, you will be fine and with the right encouragement, will make a good rider. Meantime you can ride with me anytime...
P.S. Madduck I sorta can see where the duck part came from but you aint half as mad as they said you were..

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Bastards looked like a nice ride, pity about the food being exspensive, I'm anti-expensive food, $20 is a lot of Fish and Chips.

Mangawhai rd has been in better condition than it was today, but the road out to Kaiwaka is always a good 2nd choice.... Met up with the arse slapping DMNTD at Wellsford who had left his Norf crew at the M/Whai pub to have a wee play....Was very nice of the HP dude to give us a riders briefing at the start..... Sorry about the cock up at Warkworth, thought that those who left went on up to the lunch stop, not to gas up?..
Fantastic turn out, someone counted 26 bikes at the start and we picked a few more along the way.... nz_liam was busy with the camera as was Oldguy, cant wait to see the pics guys....
Cheers to everyone that made it, and Julie?.. Glad you enjoyed it, thanks to terbang for riding 2up....
